Why Choose a Lake Powell Photo Tour?

Lake Powell is one of the most stunning landscapes in the Southwest. But not all viewpoints are accessible by land. Our photography boat tours give you exclusive access to remote areas, hidden coves, and prime shooting angles only reachable by water. With your guide handling the navigation, you can focus on composing the perfect shot.

We launch during the best light—early morning or golden hour—when reflections are sharp and colors pop.

What You’ll Photograph

Our tours vary by season and lighting, but oftentimes we explore Face Canyon, Labyrinth Canyon, and beyond. Here are some of the natural highlights you will encounter:

  • Slot canyons and sculpted sandstone walls
  • Still-water reflections in narrow inlets
  • Towering red rock formations
  • Natural arches and secret caves
  • Sunrise and sunset landscapes
  • Birds, big horn sheep, other wildlife, and unique desert flora

Whether you’re:

  • A hobby photographer with a phone or DSLR,

What to Bring on Your Lake Powell Photography Trip

camera

Camera

Make sure to bring your camera! This is one trip you’ll want to bring your camera for. You’re more than welcome to use your handy phone camera or, if you’re a more serious shutterbug, you can bring more professional photography gear. Bring whatever camera suits you, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Waterproof Pouch/
Rain Sleeve

While it isn’t necessary, a waterproof pouch or rain sleeve will protect your camera from getting damaged if it comes into contact with water. Additionally, you can find some very affordable options online, so you can get protection from the elements at a good price.

Camera Lens Cleaner

Your camera lens will pick up specks of dust while you use it. Though tiny, these particles can show up in your pictures and even ruin your images. Don’t get caught without a cleaner for your lens! You can use wipes, cloths, air blowers, and sprays to keep your camera lens nice and clear.

An Extra Memory Card

The last thing you want is to run out of room on your memory card while you’re on your photography trip. Bringing an extra memory card will give you peace of mind that you can take as many pictures as you want.

What Makes Our Tours Unique

Unlike other generic boat tours, we’re focused solely on the art of photography. We work with the light, adjust for weather, and let you take your time at each location. No rushed stops or pre-scripted routes—each trip is tailored to what you want to shoot.
